GPS Note   If you are travelling with GPS, please read these directions first. GPS sometimes will bring you onto our road 6 miles north of our house and some guests have had trouble getting here.

 Las Manos Bed and Breakfast is located outside of Buena Vista, Colorado in the Central region of the state. Our inn is in close proximity to a wide variety of area activities and attractions, including fishing and whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River, hiking, biking and horseback riding in the Rockies, and much more. Everything in Buena Vista starts from the traffic light at Highway 24 and Main Street….since we have only one stoplight it’s a very easy starting point.

Whether you’re arriving in Buena Vista from the North or South, when you reach the traffic light, turn East, away from the mountains, and drive about 2 blocks until you reach North Colorado Street.

Turn Left here (North) and drive out of town. North Colorado Street becomes County Road 371 at the edge of town, but the road continues straight ahead. Drive approximately 3 miles, which will take you over the Arkansas River, and through the Midland Tunnels, which are left over from the Colorado Midland Steam Train which ran here about 100 years ago. They are the only 4 concentric tunnels in the United States.

After you’re through the tunnels, go about one more mile, and you’ll see our “Las Manos
B&B” sign on the left….

OUR SIGN HAS BEEN STOLEN, SO LOOK FOR THE TEMPORARY SIGN.

Turn left and follow the smaller “hand” signs until you reach our home.

The train line you cross near our house is a dormant line that hasn’t been used for years. It is kept as a backup in case of problems on the other main line through the Rockies, so, even though there is no service on the line, please do look both ways.

DIRECTIONS FROM DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Follow the Pena Blvd airport exit to I-70 West about 9 miles..Take I-70 West 90 miles

Take Exit 195 South (Colorado Highway 91 Copper Mountain/Leadville)

Follow CO 91 South 22 miles to Leadville where it becomes US24 South

Follow US24 south through Leadville and another 35 miles to Buena Vista, and follow the directions at the top of the page to Las Manos

DIRECTIONS FROM COLORADO SPRINGS AIRPORT

Follow the Airport Exit to Powers and turn right/North for 2.6 miles and turn left on Fountain

Follow Fountain about 1.6 miles and it becomes US 24..continue on US 24 2.3 miles until you reach I-25 North

Follow I-25 North 2.3 miles to Exit 141, (Cimarron Street / US 24 )

Follow US 24 West 90 miles to Buena Vista and follow the directions at the top of this page to Las Manos
